Agathe Taffertshofer

Agathe Taffertshofer (born July 15, 1956 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Life

Agathe Taffertshofer studied theater studies and English at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In Munich she also received acting lessons from David Esrig .

From 1977 to 1984 Taffertshofer worked as an actress at the experimental author theater proT in Munich under Alexeij Sagerer , including as the landlady's daughter in the play "Gschaegn is gschaegn", referred to by its author Sagerer as "Mund-Art-Comic". From 1985 to 1986 she worked at the Free Theater in Munich and from 1989 to 1992 at the Commedia dell'Arte Athanor. From 1993 to 1998 she was a member of the ensemble at the Munich Volkstheater . In 1996 she played the parlor maid in Arthur Schnitzler's Reigen at the Munich Volkstheater, directed by Ruth Drexel , who Taffertshofer also engaged in 1997 as Gertrude for her staging of the tragedy Hamlet by William Shakespeare at the Tyrolean Volksschauspiele . From 1999 to 2004 Agathe Taffertshofer was engaged at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck . Here she was seen in other Shakespeare plays, as Regan in King Lear and Katharina in The Taming of the Shrew and as Mascha in Per Olov Enquists Chekhov's Three Sisters . In 2008 Taffertshofer played at the Stockerau Festival in the musical La Cage aux Folles .

Since the late 1980s, Agathe Taffertshofer has also worked extensively for film and television. You could see her as guest in series such as Café Perjury , Der Bulle von Tölz , The Crimes of Professor Capellari or The Rosenheim Cops . Well-known films in which she participated are Winter Sleepers by Tom Tykwer , Vera Brühne , Sau number four or Die Tote im Moorwald .

Agathe Taffertshofer is a lecturer at the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna . She lives with her husband, the actor and author Hannes Benedetto Pircher, in the Austrian capital.
