Life

She completed her acting training from 1999 to 2003 at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . During this time she was already engaged in, for example, Kinder des Olympus under the direction of Andreas Kriegenburg at the Thalia Theater and with the title role in Parzival under Andreas Bode in the Kampnagel venue . Since 2003 she has been employed at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. In 2011 she was seen at the Burgtheater in Vienna in Die Froschfotzenlederfabrik by Oliver Kluck , directed by Anna Bergmann . From 2011 she was permanently at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and since 2017 as a guest for “initially two productions” at the Schauspiel Frankfurt .

Schulz also speaks audio books and has competitive experience in kickboxing , Taekwondo and Hapkido .

effect

Schulz regards gender boundaries as a challenge, as evidenced by her choice of roles. She gives the aggressive truck driver Jimmy, Tellheim in dirty men's underwear or uniform or the combative Philotas as well as the shy student in pornography . The German Academy of Performing Arts saw this in the reason for the award of the Gertrud-Eysoldt-Ring : “In the many female and male leading roles she has played in Hamburg, Munich and Bochum in recent years, she breaks the boundaries of each gender-bound game and does not present the familiar, easily recognizable, but the foreign, the secret, the exceptional state of being to the audience.
