Festival Theaterformen
The Theaterformen festival is an international theater festival in Lower Saxony . It is organized annually in June, alternating in the cities of Hanover (odd years) and Braunschweig (even years), each by the local state theaters: Lower Saxony State Theater Hanover and State Theater Braunschweig .
The festival is financed by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, the annually changing host cities of Hanover and Braunschweig, as well as the Lower Saxony Foundation and the Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz Foundation.
The festival was founded in 1990 in Braunschweig. The Theaterformen festival shows international theater productions, in-house productions and organizes workshops.
