The group consists of four former students of applied theater studies in Gießen who have been working together as a performance boy group since 1997: Nikola Duric , Dariusz Kostyra, Thorsten Eibeler and Veit Sprenger (until 2004 also Florian Feigl). Since its inception, Showcase Beat Le Mot has worked in various artistic fields both in theater and in music, TV, visual arts, literature, science and event organization. The group has produced shows and events at theaters and cultural venues across Europe, including a. in Hamburg ( Kampnagel , Deutsches Schauspielhaus ), Berlin ( Volksbühne , Podewil, Hallesches Ufer, Hebbel-Theater , Theater an der Parkaue ), Munich ( SpielArt ), Hanover ( EXPO 2000 ), Gießen, Dresden ( Hellerau ) and Düsseldorf ( FFT ) , Helsinki (artgenda 2000), Graz ( Steirischer Herbst ), Stockholm, Paris (Fondation Cartier), Zagreb ( Eurokaz Festival / Urban Festival), Zadar (zadarsnova festival), Vienna ( Donaufestival ), Ljubljana (Mladi Llevi), Tallinn (Von Krahl Theater), Bitola (National Theater of Macedonia) Split, Sarajevo (Teatarfest), Cardiff / England (Chapter Arts), Antwerp and Bologna.
Showcase Beat Le Mot has produced three music videos for television with the Hamburg band KANTE (Kitty-Yo 2000, EMI 2004 - Jury Award / Audience Award of the Oberhausen Short Film Festival ) and curated congresses, theater festivals and art events in Berlin, Hamburg, Bochum and Düsseldorf . Showcase Beat Le Mot's work has been followed in the international trade press because of the integration of different pop culture media such as sports, music, comics, cinema and television, and because of its humorous approach to complex political and social issues.
