Theater festival variety
The Spielart theater festival is an international theater festival that has been taking place every two years in Munich in November / December since 1995 . The Spielart festival lasts between 15 and 17 days. Usually more than 20 international theater and performance groups are guests.
history
The Spielart theater festival has existed since 1995 and follows on from the tradition of theater festivals in Munich (1979–1985) under Thomas Petz. Spielart primarily shows free groups that have an experimental approach to the art form theater. In the 1995 program it is stated that Spielart wants to whet the appetite for unconventional new theater that transcends all geographical and content boundaries.
