Siddharta is a Slovenian rock band named after the novel of the same name by Hermann Hesse .
Band history
Right from the start they played their own songs in the club K4 in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana . They made their first big appearance as the opening act for Dog Eat Dog and Liquido at the Slovenian rock festival Rock Otočec .
The band Laibach released a cover version of B-Mashina on the album WAT .
On September 13, 2003, Siddharta played with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra in front of 30,000 visitors in the sold-out Bežigrad football stadium in Ljubljana .
In Western Europe, her popularity increased in the mid-2000s through the use of her songs in various media, including a. the song My Dice was used in 2004 by MTV in the program Rock Chart Show ; Rave could be heard in the ZDF program trailers. In 2005 they also won an MTV Europe Music Award in the “Best Adriatic Act” category.
