Renate Delfs (born March 27, 1925 in Flensburg as Renate Reeps ; † May 14, 2018 there ) was a German actress and writer .

Life

From the mid-1960s, Renate Delfs was active as a folk actress on the Low German stage in Flensburg , often in Low German theater plays. From the end of the 1970s, after gaining first national fame as the winner of the Rudi Carrell show Amlauf Band (episode 25/1976) (she also released a single with the showmaster), she was regularly in To watch TV series .

Renate Delfs was strongly committed to the preservation of the Low German language, especially Petuh- Aunt German. In addition to books, she also published audio CDs containing both the story and the dialect, which is rarely heard. In addition, she was frequently asked for in reports by the North German Broadcasting Corporation as an expert on the subject.

On March 14, 2015, the popular actress was awarded honorary citizenship of the city of Flensburg .

Renate Delfs has three sons, the youngest is the conductor Andreas Delfs .
