Wolf-Dietrich Berg

Wolf-Dietrich Berg (born May 17, 1944 in Danzig ; † January 26, 2004 in Hamburg ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Berg completed his acting training in 1964/1965 at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum and received his first theater engagement in Dortmund the following year . Other stages were Essen , Düsseldorf , Munich and the German Theater in Hamburg (1972–1980). There he was later frequently engaged as a guest, such as in the 1990 musical Guys and Dolls . 1999/2000 he played in Eric Emmanuel Schmitt's Free Spirit to Denis Diderot , 2002 and 2003 Mammon in everyone by Hugo von Hofmannsthal . The main focus of his later acting work, however, were mainly television series such as Edel & Starck ( Sat.1 ), Der Landarzt ( ZDF ) and Our Teacher Doctor Specht (ZDF).

Berg died of cancer at the age of 59. His distinctive voice can still be heard today as a dubbing voice and in radio and television commercials (“The King of Beers”). Berg was also active as a radio play speaker, for example in the episodes Die Spur des Raben (75) and Dangerous Quiz (109) of the long-running radio play series Die Drei ???

He was buried anonymously in the Eidelstedt cemetery in Hamburg.
