Volker Bogdan

Volker Bogdan (born March 14, 1939 in Marienwerder , Brandenburg ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Bogdan initially studied theology and theater studies for three semesters before completing a three-year acting training at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg with Fritz Wagner. This was followed by theater engagements in Hamburg, Coburg, Maßbach, Heppenheim and at various touring theaters.

In addition, Bogdan worked regularly in television productions since the late 1960s. He gave guest roles in various popular television series and series such as Tatort , Polizeiruf 110 , Derrick , Der Alte , Sonderdezernat K1 , Großstadtrevier and Unser Charly . Between 1998 and 2007 he played the host "Heinz Grüttke" in several episodes of the crime series Adelheid and their murderers . In contrast, Bogdan was a rare guest in cinema productions, for example as "Iven Johns" in Alfred Weidenmann's Schimmelreiter adaptation, in Arthur Maria Rabenalt's music comedy Haie am Bord and in Helmut Käutner's remake of Feuerzangenbowle (with Walter Giller in the leading role).

In addition, Bogdan works extensively as a narrator for radio plays and dubbing (including for Dan Grimaldi in his recurring role in The Sopranos ). He lent his voice to numerous characters on radio plays on the EUROPA label , such as B. Asterix , The three question marks , Bille and Zottel , Demon Killer , A case for TKKG and Hui Buh . A characteristic scream that he developed for the title role of the radio play Märchen from someone who set out to learn to be afraid was also used for various other productions.
