Thomas Schiestl (actor)
Thomas Schiestl (born August 7, 1935 in Bremen ; † April 21, 2017 in Worpswede ) was a German actor and radio play speaker .
Life
Thomas Schiestl was the son of the painter Albert Schiestl (1883–1937) and the actress Irmgard Schiestl, b. Schott (1906-1984). He received his training at the Mathey-Fein drama school in Bochum. Engagements have taken him to the Düsseldorf Comedy , the Zimmer Theater in Bremen and Wuppertal. In the 1972/73 season Schiestl was a guest at the Staatstheater Oldenburg , and from 1980 to 1988 he was under contract at the Schlosstheater Celle .
Since the mid-1960s, Thomas Schiestl has been in front of the camera again and again, often as a guest actor in well-known series such as Die Männer vom K3 , Die Pfefferkörner or Der Landarzt , but also in literary adaptations like Tadellöser & Wolff and Ein Kapitel für sich . In 1971 he was seen in three different episodes of the Tatort series, in 1984 he played the role of Helmut Hansen alongside Helga Feddersen in 13 episodes of the series Helga and the Northern Lights .
In addition, Thomas Schiestl was also active extensively as a speaker in productions for Radio Bremen and the NDR , mostly in Low German radio plays.
The accordion player Thomas Schiestl lived in Worpswede , where he was a frequent guest at cultural events.
