Beate Hasenau
Beate Hasenau (born April 15, 1936 in Frankfurt am Main ; † October 1, 2003 in Hamburg ) was a German actress , cabaret artist and voice actress .
Life
Beate Hasenau first completed a commercial apprenticeship and took acting and singing lessons at the same time. After she was initially engaged at theaters in Frankfurt, the artist became known mainly through appearances in the cabaret Die Stachelschweine . She was also a guest at the Munich laughing and shooting society several times .
Hasenau has lent her voice since 1961 as voice actress Claudia Cardinale ( Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod ) , Anita Ekberg (Die Morde des Herr ABC) , Gina Lollobrigida (The Puppets) , Monica Vitti (Modesty Blaise) , Raquel Welch ( On quiet feet Death ) and Barbara Ewing in Dracula's Return . She also helped the character of 'Dorothy' ( Beatrice Arthur ) in the television series Golden Girls to great popularity with her voice full of character.
She was also in cartoons by Walt Disney , including in both German dubbing of Arielle, the mermaid (as' Sea Witch Ursula 'and her sister' Morgana '), Cap und Capper (as' Big Mama'), The Nutcracker Prince (as' Mouse Queen '), 101 Dalmatians (as' Cruella De Vil') and Bernard and Bianca (as' Madame Medusa '), present with their voice. Furthermore, she lent her voice to the character 'Lexy' in the cartoon series Wanted, discovered, invented and, in 2002, 'Mama Dorita' in the PC game Runaway: A Road Adventure .
As an actress, Beate Hasenau could be seen in episodes of the series Ein Heim für Tiere , Der Alte , Großstadtrevier and The Men from K3 . In these appearances she made with her own smoky voice often ladies of the demimonde . In the 1970s, it was many years co- presenter of Felix Knemöller in the radio program RIAS -Musicbox .
Beate Hasenau died at the age of 67 from cancer in the Hamburg Leuchtfeuer hospice and was buried anonymously in the Ohlsdorf cemetery.
Beate Hasenau is remembered on a memorial stone in the " Garden of Women " at the Ohlsdorf Cemetery in Hamburg .
