Otto's Ottifanten is a German cartoon series by Otto Waalkes that was first broadcast on RTL in 1993 .

background

Otto's Ottifanten were famous long before this cartoon series. They first appeared in 1972 on the cover of the first Otto record.

Directed by Detlev Fichtner and Michael Schaack , Otto's Ottifanten , which until then were only available as comic books, made it onto television. The 13-part animated series saw an average of 2.1 million viewers per episode. The television series is based on the Ottifanten newspaper comic series by Ully Arndt and Gunter Baars. They also wrote the script for the animated series. Otto Waalkes himself gave the dubbing voice to the power baby Bruno. The show always ran on Saturday afternoons and was repeated in 1995 after Otto - Die Serie , on Mondays at prime time .

2001 came with Kommando Störtebeker as a movie on the screen. Here, as in the series Baby Bruno , does not play the main role, but father Paul Bommel , who is voiced by Bastian Pastewka .

content

The cartoon series tells the adventures of the Ottifanten family Bommel. The household of the father striving for authority, the sensible mother and the 90-year-old grandfather who has run away from the old people's home is shaken up by baby Bruno and his constant companion Teddy Honk .

consequences

1. Rock 'n' Roll and Chocolate Kisses

The first episode of the Ottifanten series deals with baby Bruno, who is sitting in the playpen and trying to escape from him. With his teddy bear Honk he finally succeeds and in doing so he gets Father Paul's car in motion during the “escape”, initially unnoticed because he and Grandpa Bommel are arguing about the car, and he puts him on a tree. During the night Paul is first haunted by nightmares about his car and then by his son, who is constantly screaming on purpose. To make matters worse, Bruno ends up on the phone to order a pizza, but accidentally calls the police, who consider his screaming and babbling to be a crime and therefore surround the Bommels house. Overtired, Paul had to deal with his lazy secretary "Frollein" Lusch at work the next day and have a contract drawn up for the Borschleck company. Of course, this cannot happen without chaos. In the meantime, baby Bruno imagines a flight to the planet Chocolate Kiss , which, as its name suggests, is covered over and over with chocolate kisses.

2. Bananas, of all things

Paul and Renate want to go to the confirmation of an acquaintance, but first have to deal with Grandpa Bommel again, who once again wrecked the car and finally made makeshift repairs. In addition, Baby Bruno put the bathroom under water and foam with an overdose of detergent. The car stops on the way, so that Paul and Renate have to sit down at a dirty service area with a workshop. The two no longer come to the confirmation because the car is hit by a truck immediately after the repair. In the meantime, Grandpa Bommel takes advantage of the storm-free room to invite his buddies Jockel, Karlchen and Otto to play cards and Baby Bruno ends up in the empty neighboring house, where Grandpa Bommel thinks there are ghosts.

3. Bear napping

Great excitement in the company Kaluppke & Co - Arab investors come to company discussions and want to give millions. Paul receives the order from his boss to take care of the organization, but naively passes the responsibility on to Ms. Hoppmann, who causes chaos with clichéd details (wearing Arab robes, designing the company rooms in the form of oases and deserts). Meanwhile, baby Bruno is fishing with Honk, who suddenly disappeared after a brief absence from Bruno and is being looked for by his loyal owner with detective work.

4. Grab the cash

After baby Bruno scolded his father Paul into buying an expensive bobby car with the help of a pushy salesman , he meets a pretty girl next door. Bruno is now unsure how he could make her advances, especially since the competition in the form of the neighbor boy Norbert is not sleeping. Grandpa Bommel meanwhile registers himself and his son for the quiz show "Greif den Zaster" in order to get some winnings. There, too, father and son don't leave out any faux pas .

5. Mister King

Grandpa Bommel wants to prove to his son that he can still get a job at the age of 90. After initially unsuccessful search, he actually snatches the job of department head from Paul in his company. In contrast to his son, Grandpa Bommel experiences the advantages of Kaluppke and is popular with colleagues, while Paul is labeled a marginal figure and has to move into his "office" in an adjoining room. Meanwhile, Bruno and Honk are looking for his mother, who has birthday, and finds it in the circus, where the encounter ends in chaos.

6. A singing sailor

Due to a pipe rupture caused by Grandpa Bommel, the planned repetition of Paul and Renate's honeymoon is postponed because Paul catches the flu. All other attempts to get his son out of the house fail, so Grandpa Bommel and his friends remember how they used to go around the houses and put on it. They repeat this, but time has not stood still on the Hamburg Reeperbahn and today's facilities take getting used to for the friends. Meanwhile, baby Bruno is looking for the treasure "Tut-Fant-Amun" invented by Grandpa Bommel.

7. Beach Boys

Paul finally wants to force a raise - but every time he loses courage in front of his boss. Mrs. Hoppmann gives him self-confidence in an unusual form of training. An arranged meeting with Kaluppke in a posh restaurant fails because of a confusion of names. Renate is now taking several courses at the adult education center, more or less successfully, and baby Bruno is enjoying the beautiful weather with sunbathing and in his paddling pool.

8. Happy birthday

Paul's 40th birthday is coming up - both physically and mentally, this bothered him at first, but in the end he wanted to celebrate it nicely. Contrary to Paul's plans, Grandpa Bommel organizes a party in the Bommels' garden, where he invites the entire neighborhood and which ends in chaos. Meanwhile, baby Bruno is looking for a suitable present for his father, gets hold of his credit card and buys several expensive things.

9. Babysitter blues

Renate is invited by her snooty art lecturers to a vernissage , where he exposes Paul in the form of a painted portrait in front of the other participants. Grandpa Bommel's friend Karlchen is meanwhile bought the small car from a corrupt car dealer for a measly 100 marks. So the four friends break into the site that night to get the car back.

10. The beast of the suburbs

Director Kaluppke was murdered - at least that is revealed by an open safe and a pool of blood in front of it. The company is rumored to be the "beast of the suburbs". Arbitrary assumptions ultimately make Paul the prime suspect. But in the end everything turns out differently than you think ...

11. Wilderness Adventure

The Bommel family wants to go on vacation, but father Paul is strictly against it. Only the swagger of the neighbors makes him change his mind and the Bommels get on a bus ride from one chaotic adventure to the next and baby Bruno in the castle of a crazy professor.

12. Weeds don't go away

Excitement in the Kaluppke company - a meeting with the Borschleck & Sohn company is coming up! But at the same time Paul should take care of Frollein Lusch's potted plant Bibi. Due to the tight schedule, Paul missed watering the plant in good time, which from then on made the head sink. Good advice is now expensive ... at the same time, Baby Bruno is applying as an advertising child for the "Happy Babybrei".

13. Dream wedding

Paul is outraged - Grandpa Bommel wants to get married again at the age of 90! During an espionage, however, he discovered that the story with his new liaison was only made up to impress his buddies. Paul offers his help, but has to endure a lot disguised as a companion, especially since admirers at a senior party are not far ...
