Michael Schaack (* 1957 in Hamburg ) is a German director and film producer .

Live and act

Michael Schaack studied at the University of Television and Film Munich . After graduating in 1982, he founded Trickompany Filmproduktion GmbH in Hamburg in 1985 . Until the end of the 1980s he drew and produced commercials and short films, for example for the television programs Löwenzahn , Sandmännchen (1987), Sesame Street and Die Sendung mit der Maus .

In 1990 Michael Schaack's breakthrough came: Werner - tough! , the first full-length animated film he co-directed (director: Gerhard Hahn , producer: Bernd Eichinger ), had 5.4 million viewers and was awarded a golden screen .
