Käpt'n Blaubär - The film is an animated film released in 1999 based on a script by Walter Moers . Directed by Hayo Freitag . In 2000 he was awarded the German Film Prize in gold in the category of best children's and youth film .

The film tells an episode from the experiences of the cartoon and literary character Käpt'n Blaubär , invented by Walter Moers in 1988 and made famous through the show with the mouse and the book The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Blaubär .

The synchronization of the main character was done by Wolfgang Völz , his opponent Prof. Dr. German comedian Helge Schneider dubbed Feinfinger . The doctors contributed a song for the credits.

action

Captain Bluebear's archenemy Prof. Dr. Feinfinger, kidnaps the grandchildren of Bluebear, three little bears, from his care in order to get revenge on Captain Bluebear. Years earlier, this had ruined Feinfinger's plans to conquer the world.

Together with his friend Hein Blöd, Blaubär sets out to free his grandchildren. He meets crocodile pirates and wave dwarfs and comes into contact with Feinfinger's deceit before he can finally free the bears.

criticism

The film received a positive response. As described Der Spiegel , the act that was not based on episodes from the show with the mouse, as "so crafty, as one of his superego Walter Moers (writer) is used to [...]."
