Robert Missler (born April 1, 1958 in East Berlin ) is a German voice actor and actor who can mainly be seen in children's series.

Live and act

After studying graphics and doing private acting training, Robert Missler worked as a musician , cabaret artist and actor. Most recently he played in the neighborhood comedy soap “Pension Schmidt” in the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg . Since 1987 he has been involved in more than 1700 live performances in the comedy duo "Muscle Sore". Missler has also been a presenter , radio and voice actor since 1987 . He is commonly considered a voice acrobat. His best-known role is that of “Grobi” from Sesame Street as the successor to Karl-Ulrich Meves .

In Käpt'n Blaubär - The Film , he gave his voice to all pirates. He also had several roles in Otto Waalkes ' animated film Ottifanten - Störtebeker Command . He also shows the diversity of his voice in the computer game Toonstruck as "Flux W. Wild" (which was originally spoken by Dan Castellaneta .) He also presents his possibilities as an off-speaker in the NDR - satirical magazine extra 3 . Here he also has the opportunity to appear in front of the camera in skits. He is also on television as the German dubbing voice of Gary Valentine (Danny Heffernan) in the US sitcom King of Queens , Jesse G. James and Robert Sean Leonard (Dr. James Wilson) in the US doctor series Dr. House to hear. In the Japanese anime Naruto and Naruto Shippuden , he lends his voice to Mighty Guy (also known as Maito Gai) and some supporting characters. In the latter he was replaced by Eberhard Haar .

Robert Missler can also be heard in numerous radio plays and audio books such as The Three Question Marks , Inspector Dobranski or Jim Knopf and Lukas the Locomotive Driver. In the fantasy radio play saga Die Legende von Mythrâs he interprets the lead role "Lonso" and speaks, among other things, the children's detective series Sherlock von Schlotterfels by Alexandra Fischer-Hunold as well as audio versions of the well-known stories by Piggeldy and Frederick ( Piggeldy and Frederick. The great audio adventure and Piggeldy wanted to know ... Nothing easier than that, said Frederick ). In the role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic he speaks to the killer droid HK-47, disguised as a protocol droids, and in World of Warcraft he lends his voice to the male blood elves. In the German version he spoke Jeff Dunham and all the puppets.

In 2009 he played the Cajun firefly Ray in the Disney adventure Kiss the Frog and the role of Bobby Sands in Steve McQueen's film Hunger . He also sang the theme song for the children's series Kleiner Roter Traktor and lent his voice to the mechanic Walter.

In 2011 he spoke as John Trelawney in Thomas Tippner's new radio play adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's adventure classic Treasure Island .

His vocal repertoire includes imitations of Heinz Schenk , Eddie Murphy , Erich Böhme , Hape Kerkeling , Alfred Biolek , Norbert Blüm , André Heller , Marcel Reich-Ranicki , Duffy Duck , Hans Moser , Franz Beckenbauer and Boris Becker .

Robert Missler currently lives in Hamburg and retired entirely from his industry in 2017.
