Life

Meves itself came as a student of meldorfer gelehrtenschule with a motion executed Performing Game Martin Luserkes and its Meldorfer play into contact. There he appeared as Trinculo in Shakespeare's The Tempest and was not only noticed by Luserke, but also by a high ministerial official of the Hamburg Cultural Senate as talented. In the 1950s, he first played on smaller stages in Hamburg before joining theater 53 . From 1956 to 1966 he was also in charge of this initially private, later also subsidized stage, which, in contrast to the major theaters in Hamburg, mainly performed works by contemporary dramatists. After Theater 53 was closed , Meves played for many years at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and at the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin , both under the direction of Boy Gobert . From 1992 he was seen on the Low German stage of the Ohnsorg Theater .
In addition, Meves also had numerous appearances in film and television. He showed a wide range: From Hamburg family series ( Gertrud Stranitzki ) to crime thrillers ( Tatort ) and literary adaptations ( Tadellöser & Wolff based on Walter Kempowski ) to slapstick ( Harald and Eddi with Harald Juhnke and Eddi Arent or Otto - Der Film ) and profound comedies ( Loriot's Oedipussi ).
Meves has given his memorable voice to numerous radio plays for children and young people, such as Karius and Baktus , under the pseudonym Michael von der Meyen in the science fiction series Commander Perkins based on HG Francis, as well as some episodes of Die Drei ??? . He also worked extensively in dubbing. Here too, roles in productions for a younger audience should be mentioned, according to Mr. Schiefer , the boss of Fred Feuerstein , Daniel Düsentrieb from DuckTales - news from Duckburg and for many years Grobi from Sesame Street .
