André Stade (born February 23, 1971 in Dresden ) is a German pop singer and composer .

Life

As a child, André Stade first took piano and accordion lessons . After school, he got by as a gas station attendant and various other jobs. He later did an apprenticeship as an electrician. Then he completed a vocal training.

His career as a pop singer began in 1995 with the title Fire, Wind and Ice . In the following year Stade took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 and finished with his contribution Jeanny awake in second place. It was initially produced by Jean Frankfurter and Irma Holder .

At the German Schlager Festival in 1997 , he won third place with the title Because you are the way you are ("Bronze Muse"). Another “bronze muse” he won a year later at the 1998 Schlager Festival with the title Because I'm crazy .

In 1999 he was on tour with Claudia Jung , for whom he has also been writing songs for many years.

Stade lives in Dresden.
