Claudia Jung (born April 12, 1964 in Ratingen ; bourgeois Ute Singer , née Krummenast ) is a German pop singer , actress and politician ( Free Voters ). From 2008 to 2013 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

Claudia Jung initially worked as a photo laboratory assistant, medical assistant and tour guide in Italy. In between she appeared again and again as a hobby singer. As a child she took guitar lessons and sang in the Amt Angerland Choir during school. From 1974 to 1980 she attended the Liebfrauenschule in Ratingen.

In 1984 she met the music producer Hartmut Schairer (see Adam & Eve ) and made test recordings with him. Together with Schairer, the composer and producer Jean Frankfurter and the lyricist Erich Offierowski, the first songs were written, which then led to the single release.

She has been married to the music producer Hans Singer since 1997 and has a daughter with him. She has lived on a farm in Gerolsbach near Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm since 1998 .

In 2005 Claudia Jung suffered from vocal cord paralysis so that her Herzzeiten tour had to be postponed.

In November 2007 she took over the patronage for the project "Paulihof - animal-assisted therapy for traumatized children and adolescents" of Kinderschutz e. V. Munich near Aichach . On the farm animals work as "co-therapists" with children who have lost trust in themselves, people and their environment due to severe trauma.

In 2008 Claudia Jung made her acting debut in the music comedy Das Musikhotel am Wolfgangsee , in which she played the hotel receptionist and lover of the hotel manager ( Sascha Hehn ). In 2015 she played the role of "Kate Edwards" in the play Der Schatz im Silbersee at the Süddeutsche Karl May Festival in Fred Rai Western City , Dasing .

In the course of her career she has received several gold and platinum records and the Fred Jay Lyric Award . She also sang in duets with many stars, including Richard Clayderman , Cliff Richard , Nino de Angelo and Nik P.

politics

On March 2, 2008, Claudia Jung was elected to the district council of the Pfaffenhofen district for the “free voters” in the Bavarian municipal elections. Since then she has been a councilor for the Christian voter community of the Gerolsbach community . In addition, on May 19, 2008, Jung was nominated by the Free Voters in constituency 124 as a direct candidate for the Bavarian State Parliament and on June 13, 2008 at the assembly of the constituency of Upper Bavaria , on the list position 20 in Upper Bavaria.

In the state election on September 28, 2008, Jung received 19.4% of the first votes in the constituency of Pfaffenhofen adIlm, Schrobenhausen and was behind Erika Görlitz (43.6%, CSU ) and ahead of Astrid Welter-Herzberger (12.8%, SPD ) . It moved into the Bavarian State Parliament as third on the FW district list of Upper Bavaria in 2008 . She was a member of the Committee for Social Affairs, Family and Labor and the Committee for Submissions and Complaints of the State Parliament. In addition, she was a representative of the parliamentary group of the Free Voters of the Bavarian State Parliament in the Broadcasting Council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation .

At the end of May 2013, as part of the relatives affair, Jung had to admit that she had hired her stepson for a few months in 2012 to revise her digital database. She paid him a total of 2074 euros, which, however, after a specially encouraged examination by the state parliament office , she was not allowed to offset against the employee lump sum for state parliament members, as this would have violated current parliamentary law. The preliminary investigation initiated by the public prosecutor's office has been closed.

Political positions

Claudia Jung welcomed the plans to reform the Bavarian grammar schools towards a G 8. However, she criticized the daily routine at the schools: the all-day school should finally become a declared goal throughout Bavaria in order to ensure a varied daily routine.

In the family policy field, she calls for equality between men and women at all levels. For young, maternity and adoption leave must also be granted in full for the father. She would like the parental leave to be credited to the pension of both parents without them having to be married.
