Franziska Wiese (born October 17, 1986 in Spremberg ) is a German violinist and pop singer . From 2010 to 2015 she was also known in her home region under the pseudonym Frencis .

Life

Wiese grew up in Spremberg and graduated from the Erwin-Strittmatter-Gymnasium there . A vocational training for administrative officer for the city administration Spremberg ended in a normal employment .

In parallel to her school education, she received ten years of violin training at the Cottbus Conservatory and attended the local children's and youth choir there . André Stade used her as a studio singer and offered her the opportunity to work as a composer and lyricist on his music album Im Leben and the single Das Beste am Leben by Roland Kaiser . For its discovery, Stade was awarded the smago! Award in the category “Explorer of the Year”.

On October 13, 2013, Wiese performed under her pseudonym Frencis in the Schlager Star Parade of the MDR Sachsen-Anhalt station in the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg .

Wiese was discovered as a solo performer and finally signed by the manager Veronika Jarzombek , who helped her to get a record deal with Electrola (distribution: Universal Music ) in mid-2015 .

Her first album, Sinfonie der Träume , was released on July 22, 2016 , produced by André Stade, which entered the German charts at number 47. Even before the album was released, the single Ich bin frei climbed to fifth place in the conservative pop airplay charts in the 16th week of the chart in 2016 within three weeks. On April 25, 2016, the song was also presented in NDR 1 Lower Saxony - Top 15 .

Florian Silbereisen presented Wiese as a newcomer on April 16, 2016 in his ARD show for the Great Schlagerfest in Halle / Saale . There were other television appearances, so on June 26, 2016 ZDF television garden , on July 9 in Silver iron MDR telecast The hit of the summer , and on July 24 in every Sunday . The young artist was accompanied in the ARD documentary Schlagerland Germany (broadcast on February 22, 2017).
