occupation

Three Swedes in Upper Bavaria is a German sex film fun play from 1977 by Sigi Rothemund (as Siggi Götz ).

action

Somewhere in Upper Bavaria. There Otto Gruber runs the Hotel zur Post together with his wife Olga. But the hostel is not doing well and Otto has run into a lot of debt. Now the “Prussian” finance broker Müller-Meyerfall has also terminated the loans taken out without the knowledge of his imperious wife at short notice, and Otto has to see how he can get the business going again as quickly as possible. Posh, pretty and revealing girls are needed, says Otto, because the following has always been the rule: sex sells! Who would be better suited than pretty, blonde Swedes, of whom it is always said that they are open to all sexual pleasure, anywhere and at any time and especially outdoors in God's wide nature? Otto travels with his specialist Alois to a tourism fair in Stockholm to advertise the Hotel Gruber, but also to go on a girl stalking.

In a nightclub, Otto and Alois get to know the pretty blondes Birgit, Vivi and Ulla, who all three immediately enchant the two with their sexy singing performance. The three Swedes agree to follow Otto and Alois from the Swedish capital to the Bavarian wasteland. On the one hand, they are supposed to ensure a fully booked house with bare facts, which they will soon succeed in, but on the other hand they should also sexually seduce the tough lender until he is “soft-boiled”. Hardly having arrived in the deepest Bavarian province, the scantily clad women make the male world there completely washed-out with just a walk through the village to the next swimming lake. The pastor runs away at the bare facts that he has to see in the girls splashing in the lake. Soon, however, Olga gets Otto's machinations on the track and catches the "mess" herself after she has personally convinced of his manhood, and runs away with him.

After Three Swedes in Upper Bavaria , Karl Spiehs produced Hurray, The Swedes Are Here (1978) and Three Swedes on the Reeperbahn (1980), while his Swiss producer colleague Erwin C. Dietrich responded with five Six Swedes films (1979–1983) .

criticism

"A moronic farce."
