Wolfgang Katzer

Wolfgang Katzer (born May 31, 1950 in Mödling ) is an Austrian actor and author .

Life

After graduating from high school in Stubenbastei , Wolfgang Katzer trained as a pianist in classical music and jazz piano with Fritz Pauer . He studied musicology at the University of Vienna and music theory at the music academy . After training at the Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna with Samy Molcho and speaking lessons at the Kraus Drama School in Vienna , he completed extensive tours throughout Europe - first as a jazz musician, later together with Peter Traxler as the congenial music comedian duo Muckenstruntz & Bamschabl .

During his time as a music comedian, Katzer published satires, glosses and poems in magazines. After the death of his colleague in 2011, Wolfgang Katzer switched entirely to the literary field. He lives and works as an author in Vienna.

Wolfgang Katzer has three grown children from his first marriage and is married to Katharina Brizić in his second marriage.
