The Lady in Cement (Original title: Lady In Cement ) is an American crime film from 1968 . It is the sequel to Der Schnüffler .
action
The private detective Tony Rome is making his yacht with his friend Hal Rubin off the coast of Miami dives to the treasure of a sunken Spanish galleon found. Instead of a treasure, he comes across a female corpse on the seabed, the feet of which are cast in a block of cement. He reports his find to the police, but the identity of the body cannot be clarified. He is later commissioned by Waldo Gronski, who has just been released from prison, to track down his former girlfriend Sandra Lomax. Since this Rome cannot pay, he pawns his watch. During his research, Rome meets the millionaire heiress Kit Forrest, to whose parties Sandra was apparently invited. Rome and Kit Forrest subsequently start a relationship, which attracts Al Mungar, who has also had an eye on Kit and, as a former gangster, still has connections in organized crime. In the course of Rome's investigation, two witnesses questioned by him are murdered by a stranger and Rome gets caught between the fronts of the police and gangsters; besides, Gronski keeps his eyes on him.
