Aaron Rosenberg

Aaron Rosenberg (born August 26, 1912 in New York City , † September 1, 1979 in Torrance , California ) was an American film director and producer .

Life

Aaron Rosenberg studied at the University of Southern California , where he played football and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame .

He began his career as a co-producer in the late 1940s. In the 1950s, Rosenberg dedicated himself in particular to the production of westerns , often starring James Stewart or Audie Murphy . His productions include The Glenn Miller Story , The Benny Goodman Story, and Mutiny on the Bounty .

At the 1963 Academy Awards , Rosenberg was nominated for an Oscar for Mutiny on the Bounty .

From 1964 to 1970, Rosenberg also served as executive producer on the television series Daniel Boone . The American Fess Parker took on the leading role .
