The Cheaha Peak (also Cheaha Mountain ) is with its 735 meters the highest mountain in the Cleburne County and the US state Alabama . It is located in the Talladega National Forest and only a few kilometers from the border with neighboring County Clay , in Cheaha Mountain State Park , a state park dedicated to the mountain with an area of around 11 km². At the summit is the so-called Bunker Tower , a stone tower that is now used as a lookout point .
