Friedrich Wilhelm Bauschulte (born March 17, 1923 in Münster , † May 28, 2003 in Berlin ) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

life and work

Bauschulte attended the drama school of the German Theater in Berlin in 1942 . After engagements in Münster, Bremen and Wuppertal, he got a permanent position at the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin in 1963 . In 1970 he was named Berlin State Actor .

In addition to various roles in film and television, Bauschulte also worked extensively as a voice actor. His best-known dubbing role was that of Lieutenant Mike Stone in the US television series The Streets of San Francisco , played by Karl Malden , whom he dubbed in all of his films from now on. He also spoke several times the German voices of Sidney James and Cyril Chamberlain in films of the Carry-on ... series. In addition, he synchronized a. a. Richard Attenborough in Jurassic Park , Alec Guinness in A Dead Body for Dessert , Edward Platt in Mini-Max and Barnard Hughes in Mr. Merlin . His voice as Mr Rossi in Mr Rossi Seeks Happiness is known to the children of the 1970s .

From 1978 to 1999 he could be heard as Professor van Dusen in the radio play series of the same name by RIAS (later DeutschlandRadio Berlin ). In addition, he was heard in numerous other radio plays, so between 1959 and 1962 in three multi-parts from the Paul Temple series of the WDR and 1978 as a narrator in Der liebe Herr Teufel .

He found his final resting place in the Evangelical Churchyard Nikolassee . The grave is in field C.
