Professor emeritus Johannes Ganten has a comfortable life. Everything always came flying to him. And if not, he was selfish enough to impose his wishes with great ruthlessness. He lives his life thoughtless and carefree. Until one morning he finds a note in his mailbox saying that he will die tomorrow. He doesn't take the message seriously. His friend Peter doesn't understand his carelessness about the warning. Only after the second warning and after some strange things have happened, John starts to take everything seriously.
