Kommissar Klefisch is a six-part crime series that was first broadcast in January 1990 in the evening program of ARD . It was produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk .

content

Detective Inspector Michael "Mike" Döpper has problems with a suspect who only wants to make statements to the retired Chief Inspector Hermann-Josef Klefisch, also known as "Uncle". So begins a cooperation between the two men, initially reluctantly tolerated by Döpper, whereby Klefisch often investigates on his own, often disagrees with Döpper and puts himself in danger.

Others

The first episode, A Case for Uncle, was originally intended as a present for Willy Millowitsch's 80th birthday, who had wished to play a character role one day. Since the film met with a great positive response from the audience, five more episodes were shot, which were broadcast once a year (except in 1994) in January around Millowitsch's birthday.

Dietmar Bär remained loyal to the milieu and since 1997 has played the chief inspector Alfred "Freddy" Schenk at the side of Klaus J. Behrendt at the Cologne Tatort . For Willy Millowitsch, on the other hand, it was the last television productions.

The series became known under the umbrella term "Kommissar Klefisch", although it was not used in the opening or closing credits, only the title of the respective episode was mentioned.

Movie review

About the first 90-minute crime film of the Klefisch series Ein Case für Unkel, broadcast on ARD in 1990, is the film service : “A dark, coherent and atmospherically densely staged television crime thriller that does not require any major action, attaches importance to subtle nuances and especially from the charisma of the popular actor Willy Millowitsch. ”The film service describes the protagonist Klefisch in the second episode of Dienstverfahren as“ an experienced Cologne detective, whose humor and instinct are required when conventional investigative methods fail ”.
