Gerti Gordon

Gerti Gordon , also Gerty Gordon and Gerdina Gordon (born November 10, 1933 in Vienna ; died December 7, 2016 there ) was an Austrian dancer , actress and opera singer .

Life

Gerti Gordon began working as a film actress in 1959, and later there were also obligations as an actress at the Theater in der Josefstadt and at the Vienna Volkstheater . At the Landestheater Salzburg she played in William Shakespeare's Was ihr wollt, among others . Nor did Gordon shy away from the tabloid theater ; For example, she was seen in the mid-1970s at the Wiener Kammerspiele alongside Georg Thomalla in The Man Who Doesn't Dare .

From 1977 to 2002 Gordon worked as a singer and actress at the Vienna Volksoper . There she performed alongside well-known and important singers and actors such as Peter Minich , Fred Liewehr , Karl Dönch , Dagmar Koller and Herbert Prikopa . In the summer of 1980 she was Duchess Ludovika in the operetta Sissy at the Bad Ischl Operetta Weeks , where she was "well used" in her role.

Gerti Gordon was married to the actor and director Franz Messner . From this marriage two daughters, Claudia Messner and Nicole Messner, emerged.
