Dagmar Koller
Dagmar Koller (born August 26, 1939 in Klagenfurt , Carinthia ) is an Austrian singer , dancer and actress .
Life
Dagmar Koller attended ballet school at the age of six. She later studied at the Vienna Academy for Music and Performing Arts . She began her career at the Vienna Volksoper and became known beyond Austria's borders. From July to November 1964 she toured the USA and Canada with a Viennese production company with Wiener Blut . She celebrated success in Franz Lehár's operetta The Land of Smiles (1964 in Berlin) . She later appeared in numerous musicals such as My Fair Lady , West Side Story and Sweet Charity .
The German-language premiere of Der Mann von La Mancha , in the version by Robert Gilbert, took place on January 4, 1968 in the Theater an der Wien in Vienna with the actors of the Burgtheater , Josef Meinrad in the title role and Blanche Aubry as Aldonza. Dagmar Koller subsequently successfully took over the role of Aldonza. Other stage partners of Dagmar Koller were Elizabeth Taylor , René Kollo and Udo Jürgens . She also appeared in the television series Ringstrasse Palace .
In 1979 the GDR television produced her Komm in den Sanssouci park - Dagmar Koller sings Robert Stolz , the tracks were arranged by Günther Fischer , this production was sold in over 80 countries.
She began her television career with the operetta Queen of One Night . Koller also moderated numerous television programs on ORF , such as Hello, how are you? . In this program, she chatted with audience favorites and celebrities and showed excerpts from the lives of the stars. Numerous tours through the USA , Japan and Europe (including ten Germany tours) consolidated her fame.
Dagmar Koller was married to Helmut Zilk from 1978 until his death in 2008 , Vienna's mayor from 1984 to 1994.
In the Austrian version of Shrek 2 she dubbed Jennifer Saunders in the role of the good fairy.
Koller was the editor of the monthly magazine Enjoy Vienna / Willkommen in Wien , part of the Press and Information Service of the City of Vienna in the City Hall , which was discontinued at the end of 2015.
The illustrated book Golden Times was published in 2018 .
She lives in the 1st district of Vienna and in Albufeira ( Portugal ).
