Reverend's Trouble with Paradise is a German - Austrian comedy film from 1996 . It is the sequel to the film Reverend Inherits Paradise . The plot of this second film is not identical to the first film, but the roles of Maria Wörth's village pastor , his housekeeper Alma and the head of paradise Mitzi remain the same.

Doctor Seefellner is a pediatrician at the Kitzbühel Children's Hospital. His fiancée is the often disgruntled Luise Urban. The pastor of Maria Wörth involuntarily gets Dr. Hans Seefellner as heir to Hohenstein Castle, whose great-uncle was its owner. In this way the pastor wants to save this castle from the mayor Max, who has already thoroughly renovated the castle, because the mayor's plan is that he wants to move into a new brothel (paradise). There is a legal dispute between the mayor and the pastor over the takeover of the castle, which ends with the mayor's fall into the swimming pool .

On the return of the pastor from Slovenia, where he bought 100 bottles of mass wine, in the car that the mayor lent him, he is stopped at the border at the customs control. At the same moment he meets the young Lisa Helwig, who was on vacation on the Adriatic, and asks the pastor to take her with him. The customs officer checks the wine bottles, tastes the wine and keeps one bottle. On the way he meets the arriving Dr. Seefellner. The encounter with the cars narrowly escapes an accident, with Hans already flirting with Lisa.

In Maria Wörth, Lisa gets out early in order to withhold her residence in the Paradise Club from the pastor. Now Lisa and Hans fall in love in secret for the time being, but the paradise boss Mitzi supports Lisa's infatuation a lot. During the conversation with the pastor, Hans and Luise, the pastor tries to persuade Hans to take over his great inheritance (Hohenstein Castle), but Hans refuses, whereupon the pastor has the vision of his own practice and an orphanage . At first Hans does not respond well to this suggestion, but Luise is optimistic.

Later, Lisa lures the registry office secretary Lizzi out and pretends to be the registry office secretary in front of Hans in order to delay his marriage to Luise. Hans believes Lisa the lie and when Hans, Luise and the alleged secretary Lisa meet in the restaurant about the wedding date, Luise's jealousy really begins. Now Hans stands between two women. But Hans and the livelier Lisa often meet, eat together and go out. At the same time, the secretary Lizzi is in her boss Dr. Löffler in love, who often visits paradise. The pastor confronts Lizzi that she shouldn't do anything with him, and the pastor calls on Dr. Seefellner thinks.

Dr. Löffler rejects Lizzi's request for love, which leads to disappointment. When Hans enters the registry office again, he finds Lizzi as the secretary and recognizes Lisa's lie. Then she pretends to be a computer science and psychology student and lies again. At a love meeting, Hans and Lisa are observed by the mayor, later he follows Lisa to paradise. Max tells the pastor that Hans wants to marry a supposed sex worker , but that doesn't turn out to be right.

The pastor enters paradise and catches the parish secretary Wurzer in it. The head of the registry office, Dr. Spoonbills in paradise and proposes marriage to a prostitute . The mayor tells Hans that Lisa works in paradise and goes there. In fact, Hans catches Lisa with a man. At the same time, Dr. Löffler with his prostitute, whereupon Löffler rushes down the stairs and is brought to the hospital.

Hans recognizes Lisa's new lie, is disappointed, goes back to Luise and proposes to her. But Lisa is only temporarily housed in paradise. The wedding with the sick Dr. Löffler as registrar is being prepared, to which Lisa also comes. During the wedding, which is to be concluded between Luise and Hans, Hans lets flash when he sees Lisa crying. At the lake, Lisa swims after the ship with which Hans left and the two finally find each other in the water. Now Lisa and Hans have a happy wedding. Mitzi, who is Lisa's aunt, gives up the Paradise Club and becomes a childcare worker in the castle, where Hans opens his own practice.
