Adi Peichl

Adolf "Adi" Peichl (born December 27, 1945 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor and director .

Life

Adolf Peichl was born in Vienna in 1945. After secondary school, Adi Peichl began an apprenticeship as a typesetter in 1964 . Even as a teenager he was on stage several times in the Volksoper Vienna as an extra. Since 1975 he gained stage experience in a touring theater.

In 1980 he was brought to the Stadttheater Baden / Vienna , where he enjoyed success not only as an actor but also as an operetta comedian and musical actor until 1984. From 1984 to 1993 he was engaged at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt and at the Komödienspiele Porcia. He also made guest appearances a. at the Theater bei Auersperg and at the Volksoper (Vienna), at summer plays such as “Fest in Hellbrunn” (Salzburg), Laxenburg (Lower Austria), Perchtoldsdorf (Lower Austria), Röttingen (Germany), at the Graz Opera House and at the Bad Ischl Operetta Festival (Upper Austria ).

He became known throughout Austria as the Yugoslav house servant "Malec" in the television series " Ein Schloß am Wörthersee " and as an actor in many other films.

As a director he was u. a. Engaged in the Theater an der Rott (Germany) and in Bad Ischl (Operetta Festival). During this time he began to direct with amateur theater groups and was instrumental in founding several new groups.

For several years he was in charge of the Southern Carinthian Summer Games in Eberndorf , since 1987 he has been the director of the group "Spektakel" Weißenstein, since 1996 director of the Friesacher Burghofspiele and since 2001 he has been working with the youth theater group KULT (Krumpendorf / Wörthersee).

He has received several awards for his work, including a. with the Georg Bucher medal and sculpture, the Great Golden Decoration of Honor of the State of Carinthia , the Ring of Honor of the Burghofspiele Friesach, the Ring of Honor of the community of Weißenstein and the Ring of Honor of the City of Friesach.

On May 25, 2015 Adi Peichl received by Governor Peter Kaiser by the Federal President Heinz Fischer awarded "Golden Medal of the Republic of Austria" presented.
