Gerhard Zemann

Gerhard Zemann (born March 21, 1940 in Vienna ; † April 13, 2010 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian actor .

biography

Gerhard Zemann was trained as a director and actor at the Salzburg Mozarteum and later also worked there as an acting teacher. He made his debut at the Salzburg State Theater . Engagements at various German stages followed. Zemann also starred in television series such as Monaco Franze , Die Hausmeisterin and Peter and Paul . He played the leading role in the film Caracas , which won the “Prix de la Jeunesse” in Cannes in 1989 and the Max Ophüls Prize in 1990 . As coroner Dr. Leo Graf was Zemann for 118 episodes of the television crime series Kommissar Rex in front of the camera. He also played in countless productions by Reinhard Schwabenitzky , including the hit series topless .

Zemann was also the founder of the Salzburg political cabaret "Die Grenzgänger".

Gerhard Zemann was in a relationship with the actress Veronika Fitz for nine years . He died of a heart attack and was buried in the municipal cemetery in Salzburg .
