Gérard Vandenberg

Gérard Vandenberg (born March 10, 1932 in Amsterdam , † January 16, 1999 in Munich ) was a Dutch cameraman .

Life

Vandenberg studied painting, sculpture and set design at the Amsterdam Art Academy . From 1955 to 1962 he toured the world and while working with Tim Burstall in Melbourne , Australia in 1958 , he gained his first experience as a cameraman.

From 1963 he lived in the Federal Republic of Germany and continued his education at the Munich Film and Television Academy. Soon he was one of the most sought-after cameramen in young German film . Vandenberg also worked in television, advertising, and the video field.

Gérard Vandenberg was buried in Munich in the old part of the forest cemetery.
