The Ringstrasse Palace was a television series by ORF , in collaboration with ZDF . The name of the series refers to the magnificent Ringstrasse Palace on Vienna's Ringstrasse .
action
In Vienna in 1867, despite the devastating defeat in the battle of Königgrätz on the Ringstrasse, construction was started.
Franz Graf Artenberg comes to Baron Eduard Baumann as a representative of his family in financial difficulties to ask him for financial help. He gets to know the baron's daughter, falls in love with her and marries her. Over the course of the series, the rise and fall of the Artenberg family is portrayed and how they struggle to survive over time. The fate of the family is emblematic of the history of Austria . The story begins around the middle of the 19th century and continues into the modern era, into the 1980s.

The action takes place in Vienna . Some of the filming took place in the Palais Schey von Koromla on the Ringstrasse at the corner of Goethegasse .
Charisma
The first two seasons were broadcast for the first time by ORF from 1980 to 1982. They each comprised six episodes of 90 minutes each. In 1986, the third season followed with three episodes. When repeated, individual episodes were broadcast in two parts, each 45 minutes.
