Boris Cavazza
Boris Cavazza (born February 2, 1939 in Milan , Italy ) is a Slovenian actor and theater director .
Life
The son of an Italian and a Slovenian lived in his mother's homeland from 1948. After years of youth in Krško , he enrolled at the Naval School in Piran in 1956 and spent many months on merchant navy ships until 1963. Then he attended the theater academy in Ljubljana , from 1971 he belonged to a. a. the Slovenian Youth Theater. Over the years he has developed into one of the most recognized actors in his country, who, having started in Yugoslav cinema since 1967 , was able to succeed in stage roles such as in Dostoyevsky's The Demons . In 1987 he was awarded the Prešeren Prize, Awarded the Borštnik ring in 1992. In 2012 he was awarded the Viktor, the Slovenian film prize, for his life's work.
With Mojco Sitar, who died in 1991, he had three sons, two of whom died prematurely. He has another son with his second wife, who has now been divorced from him.
Cavazza is his country's UNICEF ambassador.
