Klaus Rüdiger von Gaffron-Oberstadam (born March 2, 1946 in Straubing ; † September 27, 2017 in Munich ) was a German photo artist . He belonged to the Silesian noble family Gaffron .

biography

Klaus von Gaffron attended the humanistic grammar school in Straubing and then completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller in Munich. He later studied from 1973 to 1978 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . He worked in the book printing , screen printing , plastic and photography workshops . In 1978 he founded the non-profit gallery Gaffron in Munich, which held exhibitions until 1983.

Positions held

Since 1992 he has been the first chairman of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Munich and Upper Bavaria eV, since 1994 on the board of the Professional Association of Visual Artists State Association of Bavaria eV Since 1994 he has been Vice President of the Association of Independent Professions State Association of Bavaria, Munich. From 1994 to 2008 he was on the spokesman's council of the Bavarian Cultural Association. From 1995 to 2006 he was on the art advisory board at Galerie Markt Bruckmühl . Since 1998 he has been on the board of the Akademieverein (Association of Friends and Supporters of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich).

Since 1999 he has been on the board and board spokesman of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Landesverband Bayern eV From 1999 to 2008 he was deputy chairman of the Cultural Forum of Social Democracy, Munich. Since 2000 he has been on the board of trustees of the evangelical city academy in Munich and on the art advisory board of the Ascension Church , Munich. From 2002 to 2007 he was on the art advisory board of the Kreuzkirche in Munich. Since 2003 he has been on the education committee of the Association of Bavarian Business . Since 2006 he has been on the art advisory board of the Erlöserkirche .
