Gerlinde Locker (born April 28, 1938 in Linz ) is an Austrian stage, film and television actress .

Career

After attending grammar school and arts and crafts school, Gerlinde Locker trained as a hand weaver . During this time she also attended drama school at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz for four years .

At the age of 18 she passed the acting examination at the Salzburg Mozarteum and received her first engagement at the Linz State Theater a year later in 1957 . Even during her later film career, she remained loyal to the stage. From 1962 she played at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna , at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin, at the Hamburg Thalia Theater and at comedy venues in Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Berlin. In 1968 and 1969 she made guest appearances at the Salzburg Festival alongside OW Fischer a . a. in Hugo von Hofmannsthal's comedy The Difficult .

In the year of her theatrical debut in 1957, Gerlinde Locker also made her first film appearance in the home film Der Schandfleck , whereupon she received a five-year contract from the Vienna production company Schönbrunnfilm.
