How to love and kiss in Tyrol is a German hit film with Heimatfilm elements by Franz Marischka from 1961 .

action

Thesi Gruber only recently opened her mountain inn “Alpenblick” in the Zillertal , but the guests stay away. No wonder, after all, at the Kramerwirt's behest, the servant Alois is already attracting guests from the inn down at the valley station by declaring the cable car leading to the “Alpenblick” to be in disrepair. It wasn't until Thesis's best friend Petra came to visit that the tide turned. Petra starts an advertising campaign for the "Alpenblick" under the motto "This is how you love and kiss in Tyrol" and suddenly the guests arrive: the penny novelist Ida Würzig, the joke article seller Emil Schulze, Count Hasso Steinbach with his dominant mother and also the lady hunter Arthur Theodor Friedrich Johann Meyer. The private detective Ira Jovanovic is looking for him, because he left his bride Emma Philomena Blütchen at the registry office and then hired Ira. However, during her “research stay” at the mountain inn, Ira has all men under suspicion, except Arthur.

Paul Kramer is also soon under suspicion of being the sought-after womanizer. However, he is actually an engineer and the son of Mayor Kramer, the Kramerwirt. Years ago he lost a piece of land to Thesis mother while playing poker, which is now turning out to be a gold mine, as a sanatorium is to be built on the ground . He puts his son, who was the first great love thesis, on her, but he only plays the father's wrong game for a short time. Instead, he falls in love with Petra and plans to marry her. However, since Thesi keeps hearing from old Kramer and also from the house servant Alois that Paul loves her and even wants to get married, eventually she believes that. She and Petra are horrified when they realize that they love the same man as Paul or that the same man has apparently proposed marriage to both of them. Both part with him.

At the same time, a new visitor has arrived at the mountain inn: The Sheikh of Ku-eng is not only planning to visit the mountain railway, but has also settled down for a bridal show in the "Alpenblick". After dancing and singing, he opts for Heidi Nebel, who has always been seen at Arthur's side up to now. He, in turn, reveals himself to Ira: He is the wanted womanizer, but in reality he is an employee of the sheikh and had to look for a bride for him. Count Hasso Steinbach in turn finally succeeds in putting his dominant mother in her place and confessing his love to Thesi.

In the end there is a double wedding: The Sheikh and Heidi get married and Thesi and Hasso also say yes. Paul and Petra have reconciled and are active as witnesses . Only Arthur's plan to marry Ira is missing: when asked whether she wants to marry him, she answers no in church, as he has done so often before. Now he's the one who faints from surprise.
