Peter Kuiper

Peter "Pit" Kuiper (born March 30, 1929 in Langsa , Dutch East Indies as Pieter Kuiper , † September 28, 2007 in Berlin ) was a German-Dutch actor .

Kuiper attended the Hanover State Music and Drama School from 1960 to 1962 . He became known to a wide audience through his roles in the series Derrick , Stefanie For All Cases and Der Alte . He also played in Otto - Der Film and in Rainer Werner Fassbinder's Berlin Alexanderplatz . For his performance in the episode Death on the Railroad in the series Derrick , Kuiper received the Actor of the Year 1975 award.

Kuiper also played theater and was on stage to the end; He toured Germany with productions such as Die Strohpuppe and Boulevard der Dämmerung . On October 28, 2007, Kuiper was scheduled to appear in Ibsen's drama Ghosts .

Peter Kuiper died on September 28, 2007 at the age of 78 in Berlin. His grave is in the old St. Matthew Cemetery in Berlin-Schöneberg .
