My sweet secret is a German television film from 2006. The comedy film , which was broadcast on ARD for the first time on December 8, 2006 , was seen by 4.65 million viewers, corresponding to a market share of 15.4 percent.

The baker Katharina Achternhagen and the confectioner Alberto Puccini have been neighbors for almost 20 years. Since their ideas about baked goods couldn't be more different, they only mock each other. While Puccini offers real sugar bombs, Achternhagen is only interested in whole grain products. Both have successful businesses with longstanding regular customers. The quality of their baked goods speaks for itself. Year after year, Puccini wins awards from the bakers' guild and Achternhagen's bread Kraftmeier has also received several awards. Only this year Achternhagen wins the cake competition with its diet cake. This is mainly due to the fact that the new board member of the bakers' guild Günter Zichorius has secretly fallen in love with Achterhagen.
A world collapses for Puccini. For this he wants revenge. He decides to take part in the wholemeal bread competition himself this year. But his attempts to bake the right bread fail miserably. So he forges a plan with his daughter Donatella. He had his grandson Leo smuggled into the Achternhagen bakery as an apprentice in order to steal the secret recipe for the Kraftmeier bread. He also spies on Achternhagen, although he has to discover that both are getting closer.
