Georg Althammer

Georg Althammer  (born September 29, 1939 in Zwiesel ) is a German film and television producer , director , entrepreneur and screenwriter .

life and career

In 1964 he began working as a dramaturge , author and producer at Bavaria Atelier GmbH . Then he was managing director at Audio + Tele-Vision Filmproduktion GmbH. Together with Karl Heinz Willschrei , he founded Monaco Film GmbH in 1976. For this company he produced several films , television series and television plays . He founded a Wiesbaden subsidiary , Odeon TV GmbH, in 1981 to produce a case for two . The other production companies Nostro Film GmbH (Berlin) and Borussia Media Produktions GmbH were founded between 1989 and 1991. In 1998, Althammer sold the Monaco Film Group to Bavaria Film, which it brought into Odeon Film AG as a TV arm . Althammer remained active on the board until the end of 1999 . After this time he moved to the supervisory board of the AG. In 2003 he ended his career as a producer.
