Markus Groom

Markus Bräutigam (born November 23, 1951 ) is a German director and screenwriter who works primarily for public and private television.

education

Markus Bräutigam initially studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich up to the first state examination in law. This was followed by a move to the University of Television and Film in Munich and training as a director.

activities

Bridegroom works primarily as a director of television productions. After initially working as an assistant director, producer and editor, he has directed almost 30 different TV films and episodes of TV series since 1982. In some of his works he also appeared as a screenwriter. A larger audience groom was through the films focus like chili and Manhunt known. Bridegroom works as a lecturer in the field of directing. He teaches at the HFF Munich, DFFB Berlin, HMS Hamburg, Macromedia Munich, Medienakademie and IFS Cologne. In addition to his job, Bräutigam is committed to the interests of filmmakers in Germany by serving on the board of the Bundesverband Regie (BVR) and as a member of the FFA script commission.
