Volker Vogeler
Volker Vogeler (born June 27, 1930 in Bad Polzin , † April 16, 2005 in Hamburg ) was a German director and screenwriter .
biography
Vogeler graduated from high school in Dresden in 1951 and then worked in various professions, including as a farm worker. He later studied philosophy, history and German at the Humboldt University in Berlin and then at the University of Göttingen . From 1956 to 1958 he worked at the Institute for Film and Television in Munich before he found work again in various professions, for example in mining and as a lumberjack. He later made a name for himself as a screenwriter and director of industrial films, reports and television directors.
He made his television film debut in 1967 with Das Bild . After 1967, many more films and episodes of crime series followed, such as around 200 scripts for Der Alte . In 1971 he founded the film publishing house of the authors with other auteur filmmakers of the New German Cinema . Volker Vogeler died on April 16, 2005 in Hamburg .
