The Thrillseekers (*  24. October 1973 in  York , bourgeois  Steve Helstrip ) is an  English  Trance - DJ  and - producer .

biography

While working for the computer game developer Manic Media , Steve Helstrip began producing electronic music and finally created the track " Synaesthesia " in his home studio, which was relatively modest to date . Impressed by his unique style, he was signed to the record label Neo Records in 1998 and released his work shortly afterwards under the stage name The Thrillseekers . The record met with an unexpectedly high level of acceptance and sold 12,000 copies in the British first edition alone.

However, the path to international and commercial success was only made possible by the support of Paul van Dyks , who played the track himself at events and finally re-released it a year later together with his own remix on his label Vandit . This version, which now also included Sheryl Deane's vocals , made it to number 28 in the UK charts in the first week and enjoyed great success in a hundred other countries - including Germany.

The Thrillseekers

Remixes for and by well-known artists such as Ferry Corsten , Tiësto , Timo Maas , Darude , Sonique and Chicane followed, as well as other successful productions and appearances as a DJ .

In addition to The Thrillseekers , Steve Helstrip is also working on other successful projects, e.g. B. En-Motion , Insigma (with Andy ' Pulser ' Perring) and Rapid Eye (with Tim Stark of ATCR Records).

In 2003 he founded his own label with Adjusted Music . At the same time he jumped into the top 100 at DJ Mag for the first time with 87th place and achieved his best placement in 2006 with 45th place.

2016 was a special year for Steve Helstrip. He released his debut album Escape as The Thrillseekers on Aly & Fila 's label FSOE Recordings , which he claims to have worked on for over 10 years. The single Amber contained on it reached the top position in the Beatport Trance Charts after just three days, making it the 2nd fastest- selling trance production in Beatport's history. When Tune Of The Year Amber was elected on the 6th Place and in the radio show Future Sound of Egypt even as a Wonder of the Year Award 2016th Steve also took part in the FSOE 450 festival in Luxor at the Karnak temples
