Mike Dierickx (* 20th February 1973 in Antwerp as Dirk Dierickx ) is a Belgian trance - DJ and - producer . He is best known under his pseudonyms Push , MIKE , Plastic Boy and Solar Factor .

life and career

Dirk Dierickx started his career as DJ Mike and has used over 65 different pseudonyms since then. His breakthrough came under the pseudonym Push with the song Universal Nation , which was released on the Belgian music label Bonzai Records . The song reached number 36 on the UK singles chart .

The singles Strange World , The Legacy and Tranzy State of Mind were also extremely successful and once again achieved placements in the UK Top 40. In 2000 he officially changed his name from Dirk Dierickx to Mike Dierickx.

In 2003 he founded the music label Club Elite , which is now a sub-label of Armada Music .

In 2005 he played the first edition of Tomorrowland , the festival that has now been named "Best Music Event Worldwide".

According to his own statement, he currently lives in New York , USA and Antwerp , Belgium .

In 1999 the Belgian artist Marino Stephano died in a car accident on the way to a collaboration with Mike Dierickx. He then dedicated the song Til We Meet Again to him .
