Andy Moor (* 16th January 1980 in Stoke-on-Trent , United Kingdom as Andrew Beardmore ) is a British trance - DJ and -producer . He is also known under the pseudonyms Dub Disorder , Dwight van Man and Sworn and was part of the collaborations Indigo , Leama & Moor , Lewis & Moor , Tilt , Whiteroom and Zoo DJs .

Life

Andy Moor came into contact with music at an early age. At the age of five he had mastered his first piano piece and at eleven he was already playing six other instruments. He put on his first record when he was thirteen.

His musical career started in 1999 and in 2000 he released his first single called Violent City. His breakthrough came in 2004 when he enjoyed great success with "The Whiteroom" (co-production with Adam White ) and remixed The Chemical Brothers , Paul Oakenfold , Avril Lavigne and Nelly Furtado , among others . At the Trance Awards he was named best producer that same year. A year later he produced the single “Air For Life” together with Above & Beyond , which was voted “Tune of the Year” in Armin van Buuren's radio show A State of Trance in 2005 and “Best Trance” at the 2006 International Dance Music Awards Track “was awarded. In 2005 he produced further remixes by Tiësto and Britney Spears, among others .

At the Grammy Awards 2008 he was nominated for his remix of Delerium's single "Angelicus" in the category "Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical". In 2009, Andy Moor came in 15th in the selection of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs .

Moor owns his own label called AVA Recordings , which has been part of the Armada Music label since December 10, 2008 .
