DJ Orkidea or simply Orkidea , actually Antti Tapio Hakanen (born 1977 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish Trance - DJ and - producer .
biography
In 1999 Orkidea released his debut single "Unity", which was released on the British label Steelfish . The track was very well received and Sasha and Paul Oakenfold both opened their Essential Mixes with it and Pete Tong played it on BBC Radio 1 . Since then he has released numerous singles, which have also been in the Finnish charts several times. The single "Beautiful" became a number one hit in 2005 .
With Taika and Music Speaks In Thousand Languages , two albums were released in 2003 and 2005 on the major label Universal Music . His last album Metaverse was released by AVA Recordings .
Orkidea also has a monthly radio program, Radio Unity , which is broadcast on AH.FM web radio and NRJ Finland and is also available as a podcast.
In addition to his career as a trance artist, he works as a sound design manager at Nokia .
