biography

Maas gained his first experience as a DJ as early as 1983 . Until 1993 he appeared in various clubs and discos in northern Germany.

Timo Maas disliked the development of the dance floor sound and so he decided in 1993 to only include techno records in his sets. At the end of 1994 he gave up his civil profession and became resident DJ in the Hamburg tunnel .

Further in-house productions and remixes followed, including a. for Madonna ("Don't Tell Me"), Depeche Mode etc. His remix of "Dooms Night" by Azzido Da Bass from 2000 counts as his first major worldwide success . Further successes came with his first own albums Loud and Pictures a. The singles "To Get Down", "Help Me" (with Kelis ), and "First Day" (with Brian Molko ) reached top positions in the German and foreign charts.
