Dieter Kursawe

Dieter Kursawe (* 3. November 1934 in Berlin ; † 18th March 1996 ibid ) was a German actor , comedian and voice actor .

Life

Dieter Kursawe began writing cabaret programs in the Protestant student community at TU Berlin . In 1958 the group of students developed the cabaret Die Sieben Schaben , which also performed in other cities with its political programs. Kursawe acted as a writer, director and actor. In 1964 the group disbanded and together with Joachim Kemmer and Käte Jaenicke he joined the voles founded four years earlier by Dieter Hallervorden and Wilfried Herbst . When there was a politically motivated split in cabaret the following year , Dieter Kursawe left the voles alongside Alexander Welbat . On October 24, 1965, he opened the Reich Cabaret together with Welbat, his wife Siegrid Hackenberg , Doris Bierett and the author Volker Ludwig in the Tangente Theater in Berlin , to which he remained connected until it closed in 1971.

From 1965 Kursawe also took on roles in film and television. He also played in comedies such as Quartet in Bed (with Ingo Insterburg ), ambitious television films such as Peter Weck's multi-part drama Durchreise - The story of a company , children's and youth programs such as Siebenstein , cinema productions such as Andrzej Wajda's Eine Liebe in Deutschland , Michael Verhoevens Killing Cars ( with Jürgen Prochnow and William Conrad ) and numerous television series such as Liebling Kreuzberg , Berliner Weisse mit Schuß and Auto Fritze .

In addition, he was extensively active in the dubbing, where he often lent his nasal and by lisp disguised voice to cartoon characters such as the drake Daffy Duck or William Dalton ( Lucky Luke ). The actors dubbed by Kursawe included a. Robert Picardo ( Total Recall ) and Terry-Thomas ( Happy Birthday, Harry ).

His last role was in the first episode of the series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei as a prison director, which was broadcast six days before his death. Dieter Kursawe died of cancer on March 18, 1996 at the age of 61 in his hometown of Berlin.
