additional
His stage name Terry-Thomas with a hyphen is an allusion to his trademark, the distinctive tooth gap. This has also made him famous in medicine; In radiology, the Terry-Thomas sign means an enlarged gap between the carpal bones, the navicular bone and the lunar bone . Even in the movie Where were you when the lights went out? he is asked about the gap, with which he has shown a lot of self-irony.
